That’s what it means when you differentiate.

Re: What you should know

Then why do they have all but "Tea Party" differerinciating the two?

Re: Meis on the Law

“How many of us can honestly say that we haven’t written our name in the snow”? When Commissioner Meis posed that question to members of the GJResult.Tea Party board, I think maybe that was the turning point in the conversation; at least for me. He was trying to justify his interpretation of “public urination laws” as meaningless, because everybody violates them and it was clear that he expected a universal agreement from the two males and one female board members present. Needless to say he did achieve a two thirds majority vote with the female board member dissenting.

Clearly Mr. Meis did not consider the degree of difficulty required for just over 50% of the population to agree with his conclusions and of course to that over 50% majority you would have to add another 10 to 15% of the population with first names like Alexander, Bartholomew, Joaquin Antonio De …… (I think right about there I s where he lost the Hispanic vote), the women’s vote, the conservative vote, the Tea Party vote, the law enforcement vote, the “church ladies” vote, the environmental vote. But look at the bright side, he no doubt picked up a few Democrat Sal Pace backers to add to his in-pocket Western Slope Conservative Alliance (not associated with this site) unconditional love and obviously he will enjoy the full support of the canine vote.

Jail time or not it is predictable that Commissioner Meis’ real sentence will be watching the slow, agonizing demise of any political career he may have one time envisioned which no doubt substantiates his conclusion that at least a majority of voters do engage (given the proper motivation) in public urination, affectionately referred to as tinkle up, trickle down politics. And here’s a word of advice Mr. Meis; they say vinegar works on those stains, with resignation as an optional preventative measure.

But I did admire the way you tied underage drinking and public urination together as a cause and effect of your violation of the burn ban. The only thing missing was the parental admonition not to poke and prod the campfire with a stick or you’d wet your bed. But never mind; I am sure that
little cliche has no basis in reality. It’s just an old wives tale; or is it?

Re: When You Just Can’t Take No “Smore”

I also attended said meeting with Mr.Meis. I was most impressed with how little knowledge he said (repeatedly) he had with the workings of the CRP and WSCA. He really had no knowledge of who belongs to either group and didn't even know most of them. He doesn't attend many of the lunches and seemed greatly amused that Ruth Ehlers didn't even know his name.

He was amazed that Woody Walcher got so many write in votes, and admitted that he would have been a shoo in if he had gotten on the ballot. Here again he was unaware of any of the shady things that were going on in the aucus'. His response was "at the one he attended everything worked fine" and the system works if we all just go to the caucus' and take part. He was not interested in "fix that was in" to get the RP candidates on the ballot.

He stressed that he absolutely had no plans to pursue a career in politics. I would think not, only a true fool would think that he would ever have a chance of being elected to anything every again.

He seemed almost in awe of Josh Penry's political " chess" skills and admitted that Janet Roland went into this with the intention of having a political career, however, he thought that would not happen now. Made me wonder why she would change her mind, are there land mines out there that might go off?

All in all Mr. Meis was Mr. Nice Guy, Joe 6 pack, naïve. and innocent of any wrong doing or the knowledge thereof.

Not really a waste of time, what wasn't said was more informative than what was.

Re: Logging in and Registering

I hope this makes it easier for the new users.

Re: Disqus your ideas here…

The current administration continues to blame everybody but his own ignorance to the economy and his failed political agenda for the destruction of the American economy...

Well, if we must play the blame game, let's get all the facts on the table to play with.

In 2006 the economy was sailing along nicely, housing prices were increasing, government spending under the two party systems was sailing high on the top of a crest of uncontrolled spending by BOTH partys.
Then came the midterm elections where the People, sick and tired of the ignorance of the career politicians and the wasted billions spent to curry favors with political cronies, booted the useless republicans out of power in both houses.

Immediately after the election results were published, the stock markets began retracting as the investment folks began pulling their assets from American markets and moved them offshore where they had some slim chance of maintaining their wealth.

When the democrat party assuming control of the economy in Jan 2007, things started downhill in a big hurry. Additional uncontrolled spending, punishing new laws and extremists bureaucrats in charge of various unaccountable agencies began creating new regulations and rules to bring corporate America to their knees for funding republicans more than democrats as well as their socialist agendas.

Since January of 2007, when the power shift occurred, Americans have lost nearly 40% of their family wealth.

Fiscally and economically Bush was a fool or a moron led by equally dense advisors, so yes, he deserves a fair amount of the blame.

But when the voters elected an unknown whose only claim to fame was a 'community organizer' (read rabble rouser that used the fear of race riots in the streets to get his way) the bottom dropped out of everything because now the nation had a real ignorant piece of garbage at the helm.

Two party system, career politicians, and zero accountability created this.

It's time for the "ACCOUNTABILITY" factor to come into play.

Re: Disqus your ideas here…

Looks good here.
Thanks
